Abstract:This article tries to interpret the short story When I Was in Xiaeun written by Dingling and to explore the ambiguous rhetoric of sexual harassment and living dilemma hidden under the revolutionary narration. According to the especial historical and cultural context, this article discusses ambiguous rhetoric from three levels and addresses the main character "Zhenzhen" and narrator ‘T’ have formed complicated relation of "two subjects but one type". This complicated but abundant rhetoric gives a metaphor out of context and in reality of self-recognition dilemma and the ultimate solution of Dingling in that period. Therefore, we have reached a conclusion that When I Was in Xiaeun has left a messy but vivid text mirror image in Dingling's mind before her transformation.
