Ancient Sichuan,in its geography,was very closed,which led to many difficulties in its traffic both inside and outside.However,ancient Sichuan people bravely cut ways in the mountains,built bridges over the river and made many old roads to Shanxi,Gansu,Yunnan,Guizhou,Huan,Huanbei,Guangdong,etc.Those roads played many positive roles in the history and promote the unity of multi-national China and the political,economic and cultural development of Sichuan.
