As a basic and essential component of college teaching program for English majors,pronunciation teaching plays a significant role in developing students' comprehensive ability to apply English.In this paper,a rudimentary analysis and summary is made towards the status quo of college pronunciation teaching for English majors and several suggestions are put forward.
