On March 25th,1964,as Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee,Fulbright made a long and famous speech " Old Myths and New Realities" on China,with the purpose of encouraging American public to think and discuss freely about American stiff and out-dated policy towards China,then promoting the public ideas of China to further development positively and he suggested that the United State should add flexibility in its policy towards China.
