The Huanghuagang Uprising was one of the most important uprings Sun Yat-sen once led. Headed by Dr. Sun, four commemorations were held for the memory of the 72 Martyrs of the Huanghuagang Uprising. In the early days of the revolution, the spirit of gallant sacrifice of the revolutionists was emphasized by Dr.Sun. With the development of the revolution and Three Principles of the People, Dr. Sun connected the Three Principles of the People with the anniversary of the Huanghuagang Uprising. And so, the Huanghuagang Uprising was given new meanings. From the commemorations of the Huanghuagang Uprising, we find that Dr.Sun's military thought of Dr. Sun experienced a change.
