As an exellent female Japanese writer at the end of the nineteenth century, Ichiyo Higuchi left many exellent novels in her twenty four yeas of life. Her novels show the real living situations of Japanese females oppressed and bullied under the feudalism and capitalism and breathing in the lowest layer of the society. This article analyzes the emotional experience of Ichiyo Higuchi and its effect upon her novel Himeyuri No T6.
