The subject of this paper is the poetic rhymes of HengYang poet Liao Xing-zhi in Song Dynasty. The paper discusses some special rhyme examples and words in each rhyme group and generalizes the characteristics of Liao's poem rhymes. In his classical - style poems, there are unusual cross - rhyming in Yin Sheng - Yun and crossing - rhyming in Final voiced stop to different extent. In his modern - style poems, there are quit a few cases of chu - yun and first science entering - yun.
