This article chooses the strong and the weak of the motive force property to observe verbs,tries to explain the evolutionary trends and causes of verbs in Chinese language history,gives an account of the circumstances of 27 verbs being related to the verb "say" in the Buddhist Scriptures of Tang Dynasty so that we can have a clearer understanding of the distribution,circumstances of sources,evolutionary trends and causes for these verbs,and points out that this kind of thinking has a significant influence on researching ancient Chinese vocabulary system and its evolution.
