Abstract:General Secretary Xi Jinping''s important discourses on education inherit Marxist educational thought,the ideological essence of education embedded in fine traditional Chinese culture,the historical experience of the Communist Party of China in advancing its educational endeavors,as well as the practical explorations in building a leading country in education in the new era.These important discourses have formed a relatively comprehensive theoretical system.Firstly,from the perspective of positioning,they clarify the strategic position of education in the overall development of the Party and the country''s undertakings.Secondly,from the perspective of mission,they point out the direction for the development of education in the new era.Thirdly,from the perspective of essence,they put forward the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and innovatively address the core questions of what kind of people to cultivate,how to cultivate them,and for whom to cultivate them.Fourthly,from the perspective of agents,they elaborate on the specific content of strengthening the teaching workforce and nurturing a new generation capable of shouldering national rejuvenation.Fifthly,from the perspective of driving forces,they emphasize deepening educational reform and innovation,and advancing comprehensive educational reform,evaluation reform,and digital transformation in education.This series of contemporary,groundbreaking,and forward-looking new ideas,perspectives,and conclusions marks a new height in our Party''s understanding of the laws governing education.
