Abstract:Quality assessment of higher education is an important means to ensure the quality of higher education. After 40 years of development, China''s higher education has entered the stage of popularization, and the construction of the evaluation system for the development and guarantee of higher education quality has gone through four distinct stages of development: in the initial stage of development, the evaluation objectives of higher education quality were simple and the subject was single; during the standardized construction phase, the evaluation objectives were further deepened and the subjects were constantly enriched; in the stage of deepening reform, classified evaluation was promoted and a "five-in-one" evaluation system with Chinese characteristics was built; in the new round of review and evaluation stage, flexible classification methods were adopted to strengthen and improve education evaluation monitoring, effectively making evaluation and rectification "more rigorous".
