Abstract:After more than seventy years of development,Chinese Yi-themed films have become visual carriers for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.Through narrative construction in three dimensions—history, culture, and destiny—they weave together a spiritual tapestry of coexistence and common prosperity among multiple ethnic groups. In constructing a historical community,Yi-themed films excavate memory symbols such as historical origins, joint resistance against foreign enemies, and homeland construction to establish the symbiotic relationship of ethnic identities. To a cultural community, the films carry out modern transformations of local cultural genes such as ethnic cultures, folk customs and rituals, and the concept of peace and harmony, achieving shared spiritual values among different ethnic groups.Within the framework of a community with a shared future, the films focus on contemporary issues such as ecological protection, rural revitalization, volunteer teachers, and legal education, vividly demonstrating the deep integration of regional governance and national strategies while conveying a vision of unity and mutual benefit.Yi-themed films have already become important visual medium for "telling China''s stories well" and promoting the shared prosperity of multi-ethnic cultures.
