Abstract:The translation and dissemination of Aku Wuwu''s Yi language poems into the English-speaking world responds to the call of the era for excellent Chinese traditional culture and literary works to "go global", actively promoting the overseas communication and cross-cultural exchange of contemporary Chinese ethnic literature. By reviewing the current research on overseas translation and dissemination of Aku Wuwu''s poems, this paper reveals how poem translation fosters the diversified development of human culture, highlights its historical mission, and demonstrates its value and function. It further explores the inspirational and referential significance of Aku Wuwu''s approach rooted in cultural confidence – "dialoguing with the world in his mother tongue" - for cross-cultural dissemination and exchange of China''s ethnic literature.
