Marxist thought on modernity, in criticizing the modernity of capital, contains a vision for a new modernity in future society. Chinese path to modernization, with its unique five characteristics,adheres to centering around the people while taking advantage of the benefits of capital, promoting social transformation while developing production, attaching importance to spiritual civilization while developing material civilization, protecting nature while making use of it, and promoting the building of a human community with a shared future while maintaining independence. It conforms to and highlights the essence of new modernity, presenting a new form of human civilization. To deeply understand the logical path of the new modernity inherent in Chinese path to modernization, it is essential to first clarify the two concepts of "modernity" and "modernization" and their interrelationships. Starting from the dual perspectives of Marxist thought on modernity, we should explore the ways to transcend the limitations of capital modernity and construct a new paradigm of modernity.
