Cultural subjectivity is the autonomous adaptation of local culture to modernization and the fundamental basis for cultural confidence. In construction of the cultural subjectivity in Chinese-style modernization，we should consciously cope well with their relationship.Unlike previous efforts to understand and absorb the essence of cultural elements from China，the West， and Malaysia，in the new era we need to focus more on cultivating and shaping the new cultural essence；unlike the past enlightening critical thinking for traditional Chinese culture，in the new era we should adopt practical generative thinking for it；unlike the previous emphasis on the difference between modernity and tradition，in the new era we should pay more attention to modern inheritance and development of tradition；unlike the old morals centered on Confucianism in history，in the cultivation of a new culture，we need to develop a new Marxist moral tradition based on the materialist historical view and reflecting the characteristics of Confucian moral thinking；unlike the past selective inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture，in the subjective construction of a new culture，we need a holistic inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
