Abstract:During the Long March of the Red Army, when the Communist Party of China and the Red Army passed through the areas inhabited by the Yi ethnic group, they vigorously publicized the Party''s thought of national equality and unity, and flexibly implemented the Party''s national policies, thus leaving behind the good story of “Yihai Alliance” to be praised by later generations. This typical story of national unity occurring at that time still shows new vitality in the new era.Our analysis focuses on the content, value and dissemination of the “Yihai Alliance”story, and explores the "commonality" embodied in the three dimensions of the story: common historical memory, common spiritual culture, and community with a common future, and outlines the three aspects of the story helping to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.First, tell the story itself well to build a discourse system for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation; second, highlight the spirit of the story to present the spiritual and cultural essence of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation;third, vigorously disseminate the story to expand the influence of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
