The dialect in the central area of Xichang is representative of Xichang dialects.In recent decades,along with the development and changes of society,the dialect in the central area of Xichang has also been evolving continuously,and it can be divided into the old dialect and the new dialect.The phonetic system of the new dialect is different from that of the old dialect, with its initials,finals and tones having changed to varying degrees.This change is mainly influenced by the Chengdu dialect and Standdrd Chinese.
