The red resources in Xichang are various and distinctive with rich connotation and great potential.Irecent years， the level of protection and utilization of red resources in Xichang has been improved comprehensively，and the rescue protection and creative transformation of the Long March historical relics in Lizhou Town have achieved the most remarkable results.However，in the use of red resources to help the high-quality development of cultural tourism industry，there are still problems：first，insufficient research in this area results in the lack of historical proofs； second，ineffective integration of the scattered resources reveals a weak overall planning； third， the lack of innovation leads to limited brand influence；fourth， the supporting facilities are not strong enough to stimulate the development of red tourism.We should adopt targeted strategies such as carrying out scientific research to clarify the historical facts，enhancing regional cooperation to integrate resources；extending the industrial chain to innovate new models，and improving the infrastructure to strengthen the brand influence.
