Abstract:Colors carry profound cultural connotations in literary works. Australian poet John Shaw Neilson is reputed as the poet of colors in Australian nationalist literature. By skillful collocation of a large number of color words, he makes his poems more colorful and meaningful. Our paper aims to explore Neilson''s skillful and exquisite uses of color words and their aesthetic values in his poems, so as to reveal the characteristics of everything personalized in colors in his poems.
