Yifu Xudiao is an important work by Jiang Lihong. examining with detailed and careful analyses and explanations the characters with glyphic errors in terms of their semantics, phonology and etymology. Through collating the cases of characters with glyphic errors discussed by Jiang Lihong, it is found that among the 25 cases of glyphic errors discussed, 3 cases are likely to be incorrectly determined, and 11 cases are still controversial or need to be determined urgently. In this paper, these cases are re-checked and re-glossed, and more materials are added for analyses of them, and the relationship between glyphic errors and the development of Chinese character system is further explored.
