Abstract:The intensification in time compact and space shrinkage of the "accelerated society" has a strong impact on the slow-paced social space which has few contacts with the modern achievements. With the new program of "four vertical and four horizontal" high-speed railway network across the country in the new era, to lift up the curtain for the development of Fuxing trains and to take over the historical mission of "slow trains", which complies with the development ideology of serving people and common prosperity, has become a key task to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and to stabilize rural revitalization. The running of 5633/5634 slow trains in Liangshan for 52 years has demonstrated that the interactive practice conducted jointly by the state, society, farmers, market, and technology can also promote a "speed development" in remote areas in the era of high-speed trains and modern "abruption". This paper explores the mutual beneficial and symbiotic relationship between "slow trains" and local Yi people on the basis of international road anthropology and theories and researches on "passages" and "routeways" in ethnic regions to clarify the social values of "slow trains" in the work and life of Yi people and conclude that in modern transformation, local development reform can achieve "speed development" according to their own paces
