Abstract:The release of domestic animated film NéZha has brought a box office of 5 billion yuan, making it rank second in Chinese film history and mark a milestone in the development of Chinese animation films. Compared with traditional stories about NéZha, the new NéZha story has been completely rewritten out of the original story setting, which uses modern educational concepts to explain the confusion and conflict in the parent-child relationship. Among them, the unconditional love and tolerance of Li Jing and his wife for Nezha is the decisive factor for Ne Zha to "become successful". It's apparent that in-depth and aesthetical explorations into folk narrative resources and their modern transformations and focus on the integration of traditional characters and modern ideas have all contributed to the success of this film. From the success of NéZha, we can sum up important experience for development of domestic animation films: only through continuous innovation, highlighting Chinese characteristics, and showing the national spirit can domestic animation industry be guided to a "rising" course.
