The moon image, carrying Yi nationality's historic culture memory, condensed Yi people's life and aesthetic emotion, expressed the ability to survive and the spirit of dedication of Yi ancestors in Liangshan folk literature and art. This paper includes three parts that are retrospect, recast and extension of Liangshan Yi folk literature and art which probed the national characters, territoriality and epochal characters, and clarified the culture implications and realistic value of Liangshan Yi moon image.
