As a movie reflecting on the “extreme left” discourses with abstinence, the movie “The Furong Town ”was to dilute the politics with alienation and flourish the humanity by praising the body and the normal life concerning it, however, the movie dealt with the bodies and their behaviors in the way which continued the rigid pattern of the “extreme left” discourses, and thus painting itself with a strong political color, even growing into a new interpretation of the political discourses, as the result, hindered the probing into the depth of humanity and showing of the aesthetic value.
