This paper examines the geological surveys in the Ningshu Region and the discovery history of the Panzhihua magnetite deposit during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.It focuses on the unique historical contributions made by a group of teachers including Tang Kecheng,Liu Zhixiang,Lei Zuowen,and others from the former Xikang Technical College to the discovery of the Panzhihua magnetite deposit.An objective review of this history not only helps to clarify the true historical context of the discovery of the Panzhihua magnetite deposit, but also provides certain enlightening significance for the future development of Xichang University.
