Abstract:Through analysis of Chinese scholars' researchon normal university students' inclination towards teaching careers, we found theyfocused mainly on tuition-free students from the perspective of students' self-development. To further study the influence factor fornormal university students' inclination to teaching jobs and solve the problem with unevenurban and rural teacher resource distributions, we try to study from the influence of parents' career backgroundsonthe students' inclination. We adopted literature and questionnaire methodsand studied 140studentsfrom a normal university in a city of Guangdong province. The results of the survey showed that most students' parents had lower academic degrees and incomes, the parents' career backgrounds had influence on the students' career choices, and teaching professionals' good salaries and benefitsand highersocial status metstudents' job expectations, thus greatly strengthened the students' inclination to ateaching career.
