General Secretary Xi Jinping presided at a symposium on ideological and political theory education in schools on March 18th last year and delivered an important speech, i.e., the "3·18" speech. In the speech, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized why we should improve our ideological and political theory courses in the new era, and gave unmistakable answers to the important questions of what ideological and political theory courses we should run in the new era and how we should improve the ideological and political theory courses. It proves that the "3·18" speech is the political manifesto of the CPC to improve ideological and political theory courses in the new era. On the first anniversary of the speech, a review of it is of great theoretical and practical significance.
