As a newly emerging governance entity in rural regions, new rural sages play an important role in rural governance. However, the legal system to guarantee their involvement in rural governance remains to be perfected, the working mechanism for promoting their role remains to be improved, and the guidance for them to govern villages according to law remains insufficient. These problems greatly restrict the role of new rural sages. To solve these problems, we should improve the legal norms of new rural sages' involvement, perfect the self-governance, rule of law and moral governance platforms for their role, strengthen the guidance and support for them, and perfect the rule of law guarantee for their involvement in rural governance.
