Abstract:In the reform and construction process of "application-oriented" undergraduate colleges in China, the scientific outlook on development is the key to determine its success.The premise of establishing the scientific outlook on development is to clarify the standard of "bottom line" and "top line" of daily teaching work and education content in colleges and universities. In the development process of "applied" discipline represented by art design major of Xuzhou University of Technology,due to the differences among colleges, there are also "bottom line" and "top line" problems with different systems and contents. Therefore,the positioning and standard of the two lines should be clarified in the course of the undergraduate art design, which is very important for the scientific promotion of the reform of the education and teaching of the art design majors of the applied university and the improvement of the training level of the applied art design.
